In his book “National Transformation Strategy: Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045,” Prabowo Subianto emphasizes the importance of a united vision in achieving a prosperous and advanced Indonesia. This journey towards progress requires a collective effort and commitment to the national developmental ambitions outlined as the Eight ‘Asta Cita’.
The first vision is to strengthen the foundation of Pancasila ideology, democracy, and human rights. The second vision focuses on consolidating national defense and security systems, promoting self-reliance, and fostering self-sufficiency in various sectors such as food, energy, water, Islamic economy, digital economy, green economy, and blue economy.
The third vision highlights the importance of infrastructure development, improving employment opportunities, promoting entrepreneurship, expanding the creative industry, and developing agro-maritime industries. The fourth vision emphasizes human resource development, education, health, sports achievements, gender equality, and empowering women, youth, and persons with disabilities.
The fifth vision aims to promote downstream processing and increase domestic value-added in natural resource-based industries. The sixth vision focuses on economic growth, equity, and poverty eradication starting from the village level. The seventh vision calls for political, legal, and bureaucratic reforms, as well as efforts to prevent and eradicate corruption, drugs, gambling, and smuggling.
The eighth vision emphasizes the importance of aligning with a harmonious environment, nature, and culture, while promoting religious tolerance to achieve a just and prosperous society. By embracing these Eight Asta Cita and working towards them over the next five years, Indonesia can achieve its national development goals.
