Prabowo Subianto, the Indonesian Minister of Defense and President-elect for the 2024-2029 period, hosted a Halal Bihalal event to commemorate Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri at his residence on Jl Kertanegara No. 4, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (10/4). The event was attended by various guests, including Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka and his family. Prabowo personally greeted Gibran and engaged in conversations with other guests in the living room.
Notable attendees at the event included Retired Police General Boy Rafli Amar, Aburizal Bakrie, Zulkifli Hasan, Airlangga Hartarto, Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, and Sandiaga Uno. The guests were served traditional Eid dishes like ketupat, opor, fruit juice, siomay, and other delicacies. Accompanied by music, Prabowo also took photos with guests and exchanged apologies.
Earlier in the day, Prabowo performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer in Bogor, West Java, and visited President Joko Widodo at the State Palace and Vice President KH Ma’ruf Amin’s residence. Halal Bihalal is a cultural and religious gathering that takes place after Ramadan where individuals seek and offer forgiveness for any past mistakes.
