President-elect Prabowo Subianto, who is set to assume office for the 2024-2029 term, has made an appeal to his supporters and volunteers from the Prabowo-Gibran alliance to maintain peace and unity in Indonesia by avoiding any mass protests at the Constitutional Court.
Prabowo stated, “I earnestly appeal to all Indonesians, especially the 96.2 million who supported the Prabowo-Gibran ticket, to refrain from any form of protest outside the Constitutional Court or any other location. We must safeguard our democratic stability and uphold the unity of our nation.”
While acknowledging the accusations made by opponents, Prabowo urged his followers to remain calm and peaceful. He emphasized the importance of staying composed and peaceful in the face of tensions, encouraging everyone to prioritize harmony and peace.
“Showing restraint and keeping a cool head are crucial in prioritizing the welfare of the Indonesian people and the country’s cohesion,” said Prabowo.
He concluded by urging everyone to remain calm, thoughtful, and exercise self-control, allowing the Constitutional Court and its judges to fulfill their responsibilities with integrity for the welfare and future of the country.
