Bogor — Prabowo Subianto, the President-elect and Chairman of Gerindra Party, delivered a strong message to all Gerindra Party members who were elected to the House of Representatives (DPR) for the 2024-2029 term at Garuda Yaksa Hall in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, on Monday (September 23).
In his address, Prabowo urged the party members to always maintain their loyalty to the Indonesian nation and state. He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to protect the people, even if it meant sacrificing his own life.
“I am willing to lay down my life for the truth, to defend my people,” Prabowo declared with conviction.
“I am prepared to defend the underprivileged, to safeguard the dignity of our nation, without hesitation,” he added.
During the two-day Educational and Training Briefing (Diklat) specifically organized for the newly elected Gerindra Party members of the DPR for the 2024-2029 term, Prabowo stressed the importance and nobility of serving the nation and its people.
“Remember, serving and working for our people is a noble path. We are on the right track. We stand tall. Our allegiance is to the people and our nation,” he emphasized.
Out of the 18 political parties that participated in the 2024 General Election, the General Elections Commission (KPU) confirmed that eight parties surpassed the 4 percent parliamentary threshold. According to the official tally, Gerindra secured 86 seats in the DPR. (RR)
