Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto said goodbye to the leadership and members of Commission I of the House of Representatives (DPR) in a meeting at the DPR building in Jakarta on Wednesday (September 25).
“I also apologize if, during my five years as defense minister, I have done anything that may have let you down,” Prabowo stated.
He stressed that all of his actions as defense minister were aimed at protecting the interests and sovereignty of Indonesia.
Additionally, Prabowo expressed his appreciation for the dedication of the leadership and members of Commission I, looking forward to future collaboration in nation-building.
“I say goodbye to you all. The Ministry of Defense thanks you and wishes you well. We applaud your service and hope to continue working together for our nation,” he added.
Prabowo believes that the strong cooperation between the government and the legislative body is essential for facing upcoming challenges and ensuring the safety and welfare of the Indonesian people.
“We have big responsibilities ahead. Thank you, may God bless your service, and may Indonesia remain prosperous and strong,” Prabowo concluded. (RR)
