Prabowo’s Message to New Military and Police Officers: Lead by Example

President Prabowo Subianto emphasized the importance of setting a good example for newly commissioned officers of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and National Police (Polri). At the 2025 Oath-Taking and Commissioning Ceremony, he urged the officers to internalize their oath of office as a solemn commitment to serve the nation and its people. Prabowo reminded them that their oath should not just be recited as a formality, but lived out with integrity and a willingness to sacrifice for the nation.

Addressing the young officers, President Prabowo highlighted the gravity of their pledge to serve and protect the nation. He stressed the responsibility they now carry to safeguard the sovereignty and security of Indonesia. Reflecting on the country’s history of struggle for independence, Prabowo reminded the officers of the sacrifices made to secure freedom, and the need to remain strong in the face of challenges and threats.

As the supreme commander of the armed forces, Prabowo called on the newly commissioned officers to be prepared to serve with dedication and, if necessary, to make the ultimate sacrifice for the country. He emphasized that the people of Indonesia are counting on their commitment and readiness to uphold the nation’s sovereignty and dignity. The President’s message underscored the importance of leadership by example and the imperative of unity and strength in the face of external pressures.
