Pemimpin PCO Mendorong Sumut untuk Percepat Infrastruktur Layanan Gizi

Hasan Nasbi, Head of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), urged North Sumatra Province to speed up the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) Program by constructing more Nutritional Fulfillment Service Units (SPPGs). During his visit to SPPG Cempedak Lobang in Serdang Bedagai, North Sumatra, Hasan emphasized the need to respond to the strong public demand for the MBG Program, especially from communities that have not yet benefited from it. Collaboration between the central government, the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), and regional leaders is vital to ensure that school children can receive free nutritious meals. Hasan also encouraged regional governments to actively support the development of SPPGs, particularly in disadvantaged areas. Governor of North Sumatra, Bobby Nasution, expressed optimism that 200 SPPGs would soon be operational in the province, with a target of 1,732 SPPGs set by the central government. The progress of establishing SPPGs in North Sumatra is steadily increasing, with each regency and municipality expected to build a minimum of three units as part of the regional government’s contribution. Bobby emphasized the importance of achieving the target set for SPPGs in the near future through collaborative efforts between the government and private sector engagement.
