Prabowo Subianto, President-elect of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 term, expressed his gratitude and pride towards the Indonesian medical team responsible for the successful surgery on his leg. He shared his feelings on his personal Instagram account @prabowo on Sunday (June 30).
In his post, Prabowo thanked Allah SWT and the medical team led by Brigadier General (Ret.) Dr. Robert Hutauruk, Colonel Dr. Sunaryo, Dr. Siska Widayati, and Dr. Thomas, along with the nurses and medical personnel at RSPPN Sudirman for the success of the major surgery. The hospital where the surgery took place was inaugurated in February by President Joko Widodo and Prabowo, under the supervision of the Ministry of Defense.
Prabowo attributed the injury that required the surgery to two parachuting accidents during his time in the Indonesian National Armed Forces in the 1980s. Despite acknowledging the risks involved in the procedure, he emphasized the necessity of it for his health and wellbeing.
The successful surgery took place a week ago, and Prabowo expressed his readiness to resume his activities. He expressed his confidence in the skills and professionalism of the medical team and thanked everyone for their prayers and support.
With his health restored, Prabowo stated that he is more prepared than ever to serve and dedicate himself to the country and the people of Indonesia.
