Hartono Rekso Dharsono.’ I proudly replied, ‘Yes, he is the son-in-law of Pak Ton.’ As a result, the interior of the Detachment 81 headquarters designed by the young men from Bandung became a symbol of the Di/TII rebellion of the 1950s. Pak Hartono Dharsono was ultimately appointed the Assistant for Law and Government of Indonesian Armed Forces and later Vice President of Indonesia. Unfortunately, he passed away at a relatively young age. I remember his hard work, dedication to the country, and his willingness to stand up for what he believed in. This is why Pak Ton is still admired by many people until today.
