Jakarta – A moment of unity was captured during the Officer Oath Ceremony (Praspa) of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and National Police (Polri) at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday (16/7) as President Joko Widodo, Vice President Ma’ruf Amin, and Defense Minister, Prabowo Subianto, were seen together throughout the event.
The trio walked together, engaged in conversations with smiles, exemplifying a harmonious relationship among them.
A total of 906 cadet officers (Capaja) were inaugurated during the ceremony, including cadets from the Military Academy (Akmil), Naval Academy (AAL), Air Force Academy (AAU), and Police Academy (Akpol).
The ceremony began with an announcement by the commander, followed by Jokowi giving his approval for it to proceed.
In his address, Jokowi encouraged the newly commissioned officers to fulfill their duties to the nation and uphold the values of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia.
“I will fulfill my duties as an officer to the best of my abilities to the Indonesian nation and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, which is founded on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia,” Jokowi stated.
