Bogor — A father of a graduate from the “Ben Mboi” Polytechnic of the Defense University (Unhan RI) in Belu, East Nusa Tenggara, expressed his gratitude towards Indonesia’s Defense Minister, Prabowo Subianto, for covering the expenses of his flight to Jakarta to attend his daughter’s graduation on Saturday, August 24.
During the interaction, Prabowo asked Yohanes, the father of graduate Rosalia Virginia Linda, if she was his daughter or son.
After the graduation ceremony, Prabowo took the time to greet and shake hands with the parents of the graduates, including Yohanes.
Yohanes conveyed his appreciation for the free educational opportunities provided at Unhan RI, a program initiated by Prabowo.
“I want to thank Mr. Prabowo for establishing educational opportunities at Unhan and for also supporting our journey to Jakarta to witness our child’s graduation. Once again, thank you to Mr. Prabowo. Long live the defense of the nation,” Yohanes expressed.
Today, Unhan held a graduation ceremony for 425 students. The university offers 12 undergraduate (S1) programs and 7 diploma (D3) programs, with a focus on developing competencies in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). (RR)
