Prabowo’s Warm Welcome: Indonesian Diaspora in Russia

Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, was greeted warmly by Indonesian citizens upon his arrival at his hotel in St. Petersburg. Among the attendees were three medical students from Papua studying in St. Petersburg, who were thrilled to meet the President in person for the first time. Additionally, a family from Solo, Indonesia, residing in Russia, had the opportunity to meet Prabowo, with one of their children even requesting Lego, much to the joy of everyone present. The encounter was emotional and filled with national pride as members of the Indonesian community conveyed warm wishes and prayers to their President, expressing deep admiration and gratitude. There were discussions about the potential establishment of an Indonesian consulate in St. Petersburg, underscoring the strong bond between Indonesia and its overseas citizens.
