In a heartfelt moment in Serdang Bedagai on July 30, 2025, Aslina was overcome with emotion as she shared her story. Working at the Nutritional Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in Cempedak Lobang, Sei Rampah, Aslina expressed her gratitude towards the program that has changed her life for the better. She thanked the President and hoped that the program would continue indefinitely.
During a visit to Aslina’s workplace, Hasan Nasbi, from the Presidential Communication Office, along with North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution and other regional leaders, witnessed the impact of the program. As a former homemaker without income, Aslina’s life transformed through her involvement in the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, where she now prepares healthy meals for schoolchildren in her community.
Normawati, also known as Norma, shared a similar sentiment as she expressed her appreciation for the opportunity provided by the program. With extra income to support her family and the convenience of working close to home, Norma found meaning in her role at the SPPG unit.
The program not only benefitted housewives like Aslina and Norma but also individuals like Shinta Ramadana, a 21-year-old woman who recently joined the team after months of unemployment. Engaged in food preparation tasks with enthusiasm, Shinta shared her responsibilities and dedication to her work.
The impact of the MBG Program extends beyond providing nutritious meals—it empowers individuals and creates spaces of hope in kitchens across the country. According to the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), thousands of women have found employment and transformation through this initiative, emphasizing the significance of the program in fostering change and empowerment.
