President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, embarked on a journey to Bandung, West Java, via the Whoosh high-speed train, accompanied by members of the public from Halim Station in Jakarta. He arrived at the station at 7:45 p.m., dressed in a cream-colored outfit, and seamlessly blended in with other passengers as he boarded the train. Prabowo’s presence generated surprise and excitement among commuters, as he warmly interacted with the crowd and even posed for photos with the Whoosh crew before the train departed for Tegalluar Station in Bandung at 8:00 p.m.
President Prabowo is set to inaugurate the 2025 Indonesian Convention on Science, Technology, and Industry (KSTI) at Sasana Budaya Ganesa (Sabuga), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) from August 7 to 9. He will deliver a keynote address at the convention alongside notable figures such as Nobel Laureate Konstantin Novoselov and Minister of Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto. The theme for KSTI 2025 is “Economic Growth and Equity Through Mastery of Science and Technology,” positioning it as a key strategic forum on both national and international levels.
